A mature, insightful and talented ensemble.......2006-11-16
I would have to disagree with Kenneth. Sideshow is a very exciting group to listen to. There is so much texture in their music. This is a cd where you listen to one song at a time, taking in every chord choice that this talented ensemble chooses. I thought they gave Charles Ives his due respect. Their arrangements were very original and unique.
The only problem I have with this album is I wish they explored Ives' Americana military music more.

The way to enjoy this music is sitting back in an easy smoking a pipe filled with something illegal.
It sounds like a nine year old practicing for a recital when he'd much rather be having a root canal.
