One more relationship book for our "B Bear" Library. This one is a bit more wordy than the earlier book and definitely worth reading with your children and grandchildren.

I am a Pre-K teacher and I chose this book so that my students could see how a family treats each other. They loved the book and really understood how they should treat their family and friends. It helped to see examples of how not to act and how they should act. We read it on a weekly basis and they enjoy it every time. It was a great example and one of their favorites!

GREAT for Beginning Readers.......2002-02-08

My four-year-old had several common sight words and had begun to spell simple words by spelling them out. I knew he was ready to start reading but couldn't find any books on his level. Most books had too many words with more than one syllable even though they were for preschool/kindergarten. I found this book at the library, and he immediately began reading many of the words. He was so proud of himself! I highly recommend this book for any beginning reader. It has mostly one syllable words unlike the other books. I plan on buying several books from the Road to Reading series in the future myself.

Simply looking at this cover and allowing its color and vivid animal-cartoon emotion will tell you much of the "story" of this book, it's pure gloriousness comes from the combination of humor in the poetic words from Karma Wilson or the sweet-amusing illustrations from Suzanne Watts and the fun-thoughts gleaned from the words and illustrations.

My 7 year old read this to my 3 year old and I listened in.

I am not sure who got the most out of it - we were all engaged for our own reasons. The frog (a croak-in heart... I couldn't help but start singing in a country twang with that one) the cat's meow "The one I love the most? Me, myself and I", "sealed" with a kiss - now think of two seals kissing....

Just how wide is your smile right now? That's exactly why you need this book, to get it even wider and to evoke that laughter wanting to spring up from your belly

We bought this set last November, and since then our daughter started to listen to us reading her stories because she likes these 3 books. Her most favorite is "Kiss Good Night". After we read it several times, she started to tell the story to us and mimic the little bear Sam such as wrapping the blanket, putting stuff animals ground her when lying in the bed, drinking milk when seeing the page Sam drinking milk. It's much more easier to get her into bed because she learned the going to sleep procedure from that book. The other two are also great. She kept us reading them for her for several months. Now she still reads them occasionally.

Oh, so Sweet!!!.......2004-03-12

This is my 10 month son's favorite book. The text is sweet and fun. Each page has an opportunity for interaction: "I like hugging owl but her feathers make me sneeze!" {insert greatly exaggerated Ah Choo!} "And it's rather hard to hug a hive of fuzzy, buzzy bees." {insert buzzy bee tickle}. This is a sure-fire smile grabber in our family.
